Following its acquisition by Starwood, a Henna principal commenced an extensive land use and master planning study that completely reexamined all facets of the 654-room property. Directing a team of professionals and consultants, he first accomplished a long-unfinished assemblage of strategic parcels abutting the Resort, which were critical to the success of the proposed redevelopment plan, which included a new 45,000-square-foot world class spa, an expanded and improved golf course, a luxury residential component, and the implementation of exclusive golf and spa membership programs.

These efforts ultimately helped the property to regain the coveted AAA five-diamond designation for both lodging and cuisine.
